Legislative Involvement
TAPPS attends Tennessee House and Senate meetings to protect the process serving industry. The association lobbies for protections against trespassing charges during service, harsher assault penalties for attacks on process servers, and monitors licensing and certification changes. TAPPS is a NAPPS-chartered affiliate.
Notable Information
TAPPS has roots dating to 1988 but was formally founded in 1995 and became a 501(c)(3) organization in 2012. It is the only NAPPS-chartered process server association in Tennessee. The organization covers all 95 Tennessee counties and historically has 40–100 members.
