About Process Serving in Oregon
Oregon does not require a license to serve process. Under ORCP 7 E, any person 18 or older who is not a party or a party's officer, director, employee, or attorney may serve. Oregon imposes no fixed deadline to complete service, but defendants must respond within 30 days. Oregon allows substituted service at the dwelling with a person 14 or older, followed by mailing.
